About Us

Shelter Animals Matter is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible.

SAM is organized to raise funding and awareness for care and treatment of heartworm positive, medical needs and at risk shelter animals pulled to our rescue. These animals are typically deemed not adoptable because of their disease, condition or are at risk due to shelter overcrowding that we rescue from local shelters.  Our focus is on shelters in and around Augusta, Richmond County GA .
