About Us

Shelter Animals Matter is a volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible.

SAM is organized to raise funding and awareness for care and treatment of medical needs and at risk shelter animals pulled to our rescue. The animals that we rescue from local shelters are typically deemed not adoptable because of their condition or are at risk due to shelter overcrowding.  Our focus is on shelters in GA and SC.
